Heliconia Christmas is a superb species for the garden
or in a container. It tolerates very cold conditions and
has weathered down to 20 F. This plant has remained green
all year long in our Florida garden and blooms in October in time
for the holidays right through March. It is a slow grower
and spreads outward. It must have shade and may tolerate
dappled early morning sun. Flowers last weeks in a vase! Use
palm tree fertilizer. No direct sun.
