Costus woodsonii French Kiss is a superb ginger for the shade garden. It produces bright red bracts that reach 3 inches. Orange flowers pop out of the bract. The leaves are oval and glossy and the stalks are thick so be sure not to over water or the plant will rot. French Kiss can take early day sun as long as it is not direct for too long and does excellent in bright shade. Lighting that is too dark will produce spindly growth. Use a regular fertilizer, preferably a time release. Protect from frost if possible, otherwise the plant will die back and reappear in the warmer months. Wait until last frost warning before cutting off old growth.

1 gallon $10.00, 3 gallon $15.00
