This is a top flowering plant with the flower being borne well above the foliage. The flower cone is about 2 inches wide by 4 inches long and is 12 to 18 inches above the ground. The visible side of the cone bracts are variegated cream and red vertically. Use a regular fertilizer, organic soil for quick growth and water regularly.
